The term distance education itself means learning a course and getting certified from your own place by spending your time as per your schedule. Clinical courses offered in distance education helps the health care team members to utilize and add on their qualification. The pros of having clinical courses in distance education are:

* it makes quality assured learning to all.

* helps the individual to learn in his own pace

* it can be useful for health members who are working full time and has little time to be spent.

* it is cost effective

* the individual can reach out to any corner for the assistance from the teachers

* it makes a individual have his postgraduate even though he is in an remote place.

* it fosters in the overall development of individual academically.

The cons of clinical courses in distance education are:

* difficult to ensure that the individual has developed the clinical skills.

* supervision in practice and assessment and evaluation is lagging in practice.

* requires careful planning and blending the education in a proper way were it has to planned with both education and clinical practice.

* it takes out initials killed effort in designing the distance.

In my view the clinical courses theory can be distance but the practical hours to be done by the individuals appearing for distance education.
