Answer #1

mass of copper sulphate given=1g

molar mass of copper sulphate=159.6g

so number of moles of copper sulphate in the solution=1/159.6 =0.0062 mol

initial volume of solution =100ml =0.1 L

initial concentration= 0.0062mol/0.1 L= 0.062 mol/L =0.062 M

dilution formula: M1V1=M2V2

M1=0.062M ,V1=0.1 L, V2=250ml =0.250 L,M2=?

M2=(M1V1)/V2 =(0.062M*0.1)/0.250 =0.0248 M

Molarity=0.0248M

thank you
