The HITECH Act supports the meaningful use of electronic health records in patient care. In the wake of this legislation, a contingent of EHR developers have marketed their EHRs to hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare organizations. This has led to the adoption of EHRs in record numbers, however there is a vast limitation in the ability of their different EHR systems to communicate with one another. How does this problem impact healthcare organizations and patients? How would you recommend this problem be solved?

HITECH Act supports the development and use of electronic health record system in health and social care. Rhis act supports the view that use of EHR reduces errors and helps manage health records of the individual appropriately.

One basic limitation of different health recording softwares developed by different companies is that these softwares use different scripts and back end functio and provides different options and facikities for interprofessional communicarion.

It is idenrified that due to diverse nature of the EHR being used in different facilities the communication between professionals becomes challenging. This problem needs to be resolved.

I suggest that the policies and manufacturers should include proper standardized pattern of producing an EHR that would follow same guidelines and provide similar back end function that will help in easy communication ans easy development of interpeofessional communication. Moreover, it can also be done that the nationwide standars EHR system is uses in all health carw facilities that is advanced ans appropriate for communication too.
