Low residue diet is a diet :-

A low-fiber/low-residue diet is a diet whose goal is fewer and smaller bowel movements each day. In addition, a low-fiber diet is often prescribed before and/or after abdominal surgery or cancer treatments. In this case low residue diet is given because the patient is having acute diverticulitis .

Diet plan for this patient include :-

Morning - Toast , banana ,soup and stewed potato

Lunch - Rice , potato porridge ,dehusk ,lentils , lemonade

Snacks - coconut water ,sago

Dinner - Rice , curd , lentils , stewed potato
