1. In case of alkanes if you replace any one of the H-atom with chlorine atom you will get the same molecule.

2. Here also in case of alkanes like ethane if you replace any H-atom from Carbon 2 you get the same molecule, but in case of alkenes if you already have one chlorine atom in one of the carbon and you replace the H-atom in the 2nd atom, you get isomers on replacing the different H-atom on the Carbon 2
