s/p - Status Post - it basically means "after" or the patient previously been diagnosed with with something in the past.

ORIF - Open reduction and Internal Fixation - is a type of surgical procedure that is done to repair a serious bone break or a fracture.

LLE - Left Lower Extremity

PMH - Past Medical History - denotes the total health status of a patient prior to the current illness.

fx - Fracture - is a complete or partial break in the continuity of a bone.

MVA - Motor Vehicle Accident - it occurs when a moving vehicle hits either another vehicle or a pedestrian.

hx - History

Illeostomy - It is a surgical construction of an opening into the ileum on the abdominal wall.

RLQ - Right Lower Quadrant

MI -Myocardial Infarction - commonly referred to as heart attack, occurs when there is a sudden blockage or less oxygen supply to the heart muscles and destructs the blood supply to other parts of the body.

CTA - Clear to Auscultation

Hct - Hematocrit value - is the ratio of red blood cells volume to the white blood cells.
