HEALTH POLICY : Health policy is defined as planning, actions, decision making measures are taken to achieve a desired goals in the health care department in a society. Heath policy is the future plan which focuses on the health of various groups of society. Various health policies are available for the protection of peoples health like insurance policies, mental health policies, vaccination policy, tobacco control policy, breast feeding promotion policy and many more.

Among all the health policies I would like to change breast feeding promotion policy, as breast feeding is very important to the newborn baby to receive the high nutritious die and immunity at the initial stages of life, and to promote health of mother. Breast feeding prevents various disease conditions to children and reduces the risk of breast cancer in mother. Due to improper breast feeding techniques, lack of first milk after the delivery, absence of breast milk throughout the lactation period, stagnation of milk in the breasts and hardening of breast forming breast lumps are the major causes of prone to diseases ans it leads to death of the newborn or mother in high risk conditions. In order to protect the health of both mother and child Government has implemented many programs to safeguard mother and child life. Implementation of awareness programs on breast feeding, conducting programs on worlds breast feeding week, workshops, all of them are used to create the importance of breast feeding, its advantages and disadvantages to mother and child, techniques used during feeding can decrease the rates of maternal and child mortality and morbidity rates.
