22. Breden is probably referring about sexual dysfunction which is one of the side effects of thiazide diuretic . Licorice is a herbal product used for soothing stomach problems but it has many side effects whi h is addiy his problems . It causes erectile dysfunction , decreased libido and increases blood pressure . And the extreme weakness or tiredness is due to decreased potassium level . He is advised to eat foods high in potassium .

23. The nurse's response to Mrs H ,that there are different types of diuretics and the diuretics you are taking is type of diuretic which causes loss of potassium through urine that's why you are adviced to eat food high in potassium .

24. The thiazides are ineffective when renal blood flow is low, which may explain their lack of efficacy as a sole agent in patients with severe heart failure. Thiazide diuretics decrease glomerular filtration rate, which may explain their lack of efficacy in patients with renal failure.
