Variable cost per unit of Sofa = $1,250

Contribution per unit of Sofa = $1,700 - $1,250 = $450

Time required to produce one unit of Sofa = 10 hours

Contribution per hour of Sofa = 450/10 = $45/Hour

Selling price per unit of love seat = $1,275

Variable cost per unit of love seat = $850

Contribution per unit of love seat = $1,275 - $850 = $425

Time required to produce one unit of love seat = 5 hours

Contribution per hour of love seat = 425/5 = $85/Hour

If job will be given to upholstering company then charges payable = $41/hour
