Answer #1

Danny deductable business expenses:

Amount paid to register for a four-day

course in management in Chicago = $600

Amount paid in air fare. = $800

Lodging fees (4nights) (4×$200). =$800

Meals expenses (4×{$140}×1÷2). =$280

Rental car expenses (4×$80) =$320

Total deductable expense = $2,800

Note: The trip is primarily business so the airfare is completely deductable. Only four days cost can be deducted for lodging, half the meals and auto rentals.
