Liver biopsy was positive for toxoplasma gondii. Clinical signs were also consisent with acute toxoplasmic hepatitis.

Final diagnoses: (1) Acute toxoplasmic hepatitis  , (2) Type I diabetes mellitus  maintained on insulin

Procedures: (1) percutaneous liver biopsy  , (2) abdominal ultrasound
