Compared to the rest of the world, had the United States been highly successful in its attempt to educate all of its youth?

Yes compared to many other countries in the world the literacy rate in USA is almost 99% as on 2018 which shows that almost every US citizen is able to read and write.

The main reason is that America is one of the developed countries in the world with large population as many people come there for a job.

English is the language which is majorly spoken in that country where all the people who are migrating to US for jobs purpose will study and another important fact to be considered most of the US parents are concerned that their children are educated at least for High school level, so that they can earn for themselves.

US citizens are independent because of the way they were brought up by their parents so they too know that atleast a minimum education is required to cope up with life. Parents support their children views so they will encourage them to go with their dreams but they will ensure that they are completing atleast their high school.

US government is also supporting citizens by seeing that the schools and colleges are providing a quality education to youth and children.

So all these factors made US to be highly successful in making all its youth educated.
