Heart failure is a clinical syndrome which can results from any functional or cardiac disoder that impairs the ability of the ventricles to fill or pump enough blood to meet the body's oxygen and nutrient requirements.
Diastolic heart failure is an abnormal stiffening of the ventricles, and thre resulting abnormal ventricular filling during diastole. These stiff ventricles cannot fully relax during diastole, and as a result ventricles may not fill completely, and blood can obstructs n the body's organ mainly the lungs.
Diastolic heart failure is present when diastolic dysfunction is sufficient to produce pulmonary congestion.
Following are the conditions that causes diastolic heart failure :
# Cardiac ischemia: It occurs when myocardial oxygen deemand exceeds myocardial oxygen supply.
# Hypertension: Increase in the diasolic B.P increases the risk of diastolc heart failure.
# Aging: As age advanced the walls in the arteries get narrows and the blood flow decreases.
# Obesity: It increases the risk of atherosclerosis
# Aortic stenosis: There is narrowing of the aortic valve opening which restricts the blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta and affect the pressure in the left atrium.
# Pericardial disorders: Such as pericarditis and pericardial effusion can also cause diastolic heart failure.
In heart failure caused by diastolic dysfunction (a problem with diastole), heart failure is caused by the heart chambers having difficulty with relaxing to fill with blood. Group of answer choices True False

Can you explain the characteristics/differences between left-sided heart failure and right-sided heart failure. How do these conditions affect efficient oxygenation? Condition Characteristics Effects on oxygenation Right sided heart failure Left sided heart failure Please Please explain the following impaired valvular functions: stenosis and regurgitation. How is oxygenation affected? Condition Characteristics Effect on oxygenation Stenosis Regurgitation
If the diastolic blood pressure at the heart level is 80 mm Hg, what is the pressure at the height of the head, which is 0.30 m above the heart? Ignore any pressure drop due to the viscosity of the blood.
Pls help, pls
names of formulas/procedures used would be appreciated very
much. Thank you.
Heart failure is due to either natural occurrences (88%) or outside factors (12%). Outside factors are related to induced substances or foreign objects. Natural occurrences are caused by arterial blockage, disease, and infection. Suppose that 20 patients will visit an emergency room with heart failure. Assume that causes of heart failure between individuals are independent. (a) What is the probability that three individuals have conditions caused...
