Answer #1

First of all there we should understand the basic meaning of unemployment

An unemployed person is a type of person who is actively not contributing in the workforce but looking for work for the last four weeks

In option A, since the 50 year old woman is laid off because of the business downturn

She will come under cyclical unemployment and this option will be neglected

In option B, 35 year old woman is fired and she is looking for the another job so she is going from frictional unemployment

This option will also be neglected

In option D the college graduate is looking for job and hence currently he is unemployed

Only in option C the 22 year old aspiring actress who has not any business shows right now but she is actively working as a waitress and contributing to the workforce.

The correct answer is option C
