EDGAR SCHEIN MODEL OF ORGANISATION:

According to this theorem, any organisations go through a thorough process of changes and adapt according to external environment and deal with problems. formation of a culture in an organisation occurs through long process of experiences and everyday practice. thus formed the workplace culture.

according to schein there are three levels in the formation of organization culture:

1. ARTIFACTS:

these are the simple rules and regulation of any organisation such as dress code, respect to their superiors, completion of deadlines. working together to achieve organisation goals and objectives.

this will leads to first level towards forming workplace culture as employees are behaving professionally and follow the rules.

2. VALUES:

in this level, individual employees values contributes towards deciding organisation culture.

3. ASSUMED VALUES:

these are the values and behaviors in the workplace which generally not discussed but understood by everyone. these comes from cultural beliefs and changes from place to place. it cannot be measured but plays important role in determining workplace culture.
