There are a number of types of scheduling systems that are available for a medical practice to choose from and utilize. Conduct some outside research and describe the differences between the following scheduling systems.

Cluster Booking, Double Booking, Wave Scheduling, Modified Wave Scheduling, and Stream Scheduling.

Which system best accommodates the medical practice? Which system best accommodates the patient?

Which system is the most commonly used and which is the least?

Scheduling systems : means process of arrangement of all plans, work loads, in order to provide work efficiently.

Difference between scheduling systems:

Cluster booking : it means booking patients group wise at the same time, for example there are 10 patients we need to see in 3 to 4 hours means book At least 5 patients as a cluster.

Double booking : if there is a multiple services at the same time for different customers ,so that time we can book for both clients at same time.

Wave scheduling : it means giving appointment to the patients so, that several patients can see the physician at the same time. Ex. At the beginning of each hour.

Modified wave scheduling : here the overlapping of parents appointments, so that if one person's care finishes early or comes late the another client may go to doctor, so that clients frustration may reduces.

Stream scheduling : specific times should be booked here.

* cluster booking is accommodate with medical practices, because more patients they can covers at a time, so there will be a benefits to practioners.

* modified wave scheduling is best accommodates the patients, because they will not feel frustrated here, early finishing of appointments.

* the most commonly used schedule is modified wave schedule.

* the least commonly used schedule is double booking.
