“UN is a unitary one-world government that has inordinate authority over great powers”

United Nations is a peace making body with powers over all countries to enforce peace and security. I do not think it has inordinate powers because countries have forum to discuss on conflicting issues and before reaching a decision. However I also think that the US, one of their major contributors is not at risk of being overpowered by the UN afterall. This body was established to consolidated the power of the Allies after the World War II. So UN is not governed by any nation but it does not have inordinate powers. The only purpose of the body is to ensure peace and harmony and they would intervene where they is unrest.
