Ondansetron hydrochloride is used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting.

Each 5ml contains 4mg of Ondansetron(Zofran) hydrochloride.

So for 8mg of ondansetron (Zofran) = 5/4 × 8 = 10ml

Hence,the nurse should draw 10ml of ondansetron(Zofran) into a syringe in preparation for administration.
