The co2 value of a patient with metabolic acidosis can be> 40

The bicarb level of a patient with metabolic acidosis can be < 22meq/l

Cause of metabolic acidosis

*Innability to control diabetes leads to diabetic acidosis results in metabolic acidosis.

*continous vomiting and diarrhea leads to decreased sodium bicarbonate results in hyperchloremic acidosis.

*accumulation of lactic acid in your body eventually leads to metabolic acidosis.

* innability of kidneys toexcrete acids into urine.

Symptoms of metabolic acidosis

* severe headache

* rapid increase in heart rate

* Ketoacidosis

* confused state of mind

* palpitations

* billirubin level will be increased

* abdominal pain,naussea and vomitting

*hypoxia

* muscle weakness and body pain
