4.(a) To distinguish between B​​​​​​3+ and Ca​​​​​2+, flame test can be done.

Take a little of the given sample and show it to flame.

Boron will give a bright green flame and Calcium will give brick Red flame.

(b). Ca​​​​​2+ and Sr+

For these cations also flame test can be performed where Ca will give brick Red flame and strontium will give Crimson red.

(C) Ca​​​​​2+ and NH4+

This also can be distinguished by performing flame test since Ca will give brick Red and ammonia can be easily found by smelling the sample.

5. AgCl. When NaCl reacts with AgNO3 it forms AgCl which is insoluble in HNO3
