Delhi the capital of India has many tourist places to visit and tourist can enjoy the history behind them and understand its cultural history and vast historical importance and modern though process of people of this city.

Delhi has below beautiful historical places to visit which can give tangible evidences to a tourist to these destinations.

1 Red Fort

2 Qutab Minar

3 Jantar Mantar

4 India Gate

5 Jama Masjid

6 Purana Quila

7 Humayun's Tomb

1 Visitors while visiting Red fort can have glimpse of history of Mughals who ruled India and this fort was built in 1638 and was designed to keep invaders away and this is the place where every year India's prime minister give speech on independence day on every 15th of August.

2 Qutab Minar- Qutab Minar is a world heritage site and were built in 13th century and it is a red sand stone Minar and gives the information about a glimpse about Indo-Islam art which were built in the year 1311

3 Jantar Mantar: This was built in the year 1724 by Maharaja Jaisingh of Jaipur and this is an observatory instrument which shows the progressive thinking of the people at that very old time for astronomical purposes.

4 India Gate: India gate is the witness of the sacrifices of the British and Indian soldiers who has given their lives while fighting for Britain in the world war-I, This great India Gate was started to be made in 1921 by the Duke of Connaught and was designed by Edwin Lutyens.

5 Jama Masjid: This mosque was made in 1644 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and is the largest in India and at once 25000 people can worship here.

6 Purana Quila: This is the oldest fort in India and was built by Humayun and shows great islamic architecture of that time.

7 Humayun's Tomb: This garden tomb was built in 1570 and is the oldest which paved the way to built up Taj Mahal(Which is among the seven wonders of the world)

8 Safdurjang Tomb: It is the last garden tomb which was made in 1753-54 as of Humayun tomb at the time of Mughal emperor Mohammed Shah and was a mausoleum of viceroy of Avadh.

9 Lodi Tomb: This is the old lady Willington park now known as Lodi Garden and this includes tomb, mosques and bridges.

10 Lotus Temple- It is made of lotus shape and is last of Bahai's temple and there are total seven Bahai temple in the world, it is made of white marble and people of any faith can pray meditate here.

11 Parliament House: This is a circular building and houses both houses of parliament, i.e. Upper House called Rajya Sabha and lower house called Lok Sabha and houses other ministerial and committee offices.
