MgCO3(s) \leftrightharpoons Mg2+(aq)   + CO32-(aq)

According to Le-Chetlier principle , equilibrium will shift in that direction which will oppose the stress equilibrium has been subjected to . Addition of MgBr2 will shift equilibrium in backward direction so that Mg2+ added can be consumed . (Common ion effect )

Concentration of Mg2+ , CO32- decreases .
