Three things that an applicant should do during an employment interview are:
(1): Answer all questions in a positive, polite and calm manner – During an interview an applicant should answer all questions in a positive manner and should not exude an iota of negativity. This will draw the attention of the interview panel towards the applicant’s positive frame of mind and towards the applicant’s equanimity as well.
(2): Demonstrate your capabilities – The applicant, during a job interview, should amply demonstrate his/her capabilities. This can be done by comprehensively reading and understanding the job description before the interview and then during the interview give examples of your education, experience and professional achievements and how they demonstrate and amplify your capabilities.
(3): Ask questions – An applicant should ask questions as well during an interview. The questions can relate to the position for which the applicant is being considered, challenges associated with the position, next steps in the selection process and availability of learning opportunities within the organization. These questions will impress the fact that you have done your homework and pre-interview and are serious about the opening. This will leave a positive impression in the minds of the interview panel.
