A young 33-year-old man is admitted to your unit with a chief complaint of "tiredness and morning headaches" even after sleeping. How you would perform a comprehensive analysis of symptoms? What are the possible causes of the symptoms? What examinations would be crucial to determine the cause of his problems? Why?

Comprehensive analysis of symptoms as follow:-

As RN while collecting the history it should be complete and accurate.

Collect the following data from patient:-

• Ask about present symptoms includes it's onset, duration, frequency, and severity.
• Collect data about past history including medications and family history
• Ask about aggregating and alleviating factors for presenting symptoms.
• Analyse for the site of headache either one side or both sides, severity, it's location, frequency and associated symptoms like nausea, blurred vision, light sensitivity etc.

Possible causes for the symptoms:-Patient may be suffering from

• Migraine headaches
• Chronic fatigue syndrome
• Anemia etc.

Examination to determine the cause of problem:-

• Patient must undergo blood examination
• Imaginary studies like MRI
• Use specific diagnostic criteria like for migraine there is clinical criteria

These tests helps to ruleout the possible cause for tiredness and morning headaches
