(American government)

Should voters support a third party that has no chance of winning? Or should they vote for the major party candidate they dislike less? How might one reconcile his or her decision to support a third-party candidate in our two-party system?

Answer #1

Voters who believe in third party candidates should not just vote for the big party candidates just because they are more likely to win, they should feel strong about their vote because they put what they believe in into their inputs. The elector vote for that party for a specific reason, not just to be separate from the rest of the voters. Their decision to support a third party candidate in our two-party system can be reconciled if they see that the two parties ' ideas are not clear or if they strongly believe that the two parties will change their minds by voting for the third party

For example, by saying this if a woman voter doesn't agree on the two-party system's plans and ideas, she can vote for the third party in hopes of new ideas and better plans for the U.S.

We tend to think of candidates from third parties as being of little relevance in elections. They often focus on one major issue, and appear irrelevant in the election's grand scheme. However, when the difference in votes in certain important states is extremely close, they could end up affecting the election. This is because, even if the total vote of a state is close, all the electoral votes from that state are received in 48 states by the getter of majority vote. When this happens, candidates from third parties can become spoiler candidates, as happened in the 2000 and 2016 elections

please answer all questions 18. We mentioned that the median voter theorem doesn't always work, and sometimes a winning policy doesn't exist. This fact has driven economists and political scientists to write thousands of papers and books, both proving that fact and also trying to find good workarounds. The most famous theoretical example of how voting doesn't work is the Condorcet paradox. The Marquis de Condorcet, a French nobleman in the 1700s, wondered what would happen if three voters had...

The outcome is determined by a runoff, which follows...
