  • The public have more trust on them, their words.
  • Can make effective change to follow healthy behaviour and healthy life styles.
  • Lay health advisors are the person have an important role in promotion of the public health and the prevention of the diseases.
  • Lay health advisors can help to adopt any family planning methods by the community people.
  • They help to make awareness about importance of immunization.
  • They encourage the women the above 30 yrs to do mammogram to identify the breast cancer earlier.
  • They encourage the women the above 30 yrs to do VIA VILI test to identify the cervical cancer earlier.

CONS OF LAY HEALTH ADVISORS:

  • The lay health advisor should be properly trained. If it is failed leads to communicate wrong information.
  • He/she should be an accepted by the people of the particular community, the words of them should be accepted by all the people is sometimes difficult.
  • They can be used to work in the aspect of curative or treatment.
