Company goals 1) Reduction in the recordable injury rate at the workplace to 0.6 and lost time injury case rate to 0.15 by 2020. 2) Reduction in energy intensity by half from 2006 to 2020. 3) Usage of renewable sources to fulfil 20% of the energy needs by 2020. 4) Reduction in the emissions of green-house gases by 50% from 2006 to 2020. 5) Reduction in the water consumption intensity by 50% from 2006 to 2020. 6) Reduction in the by-product materials intensity by 50% from 2006 to 2020. Company's progress regarding worker safety. The company has recorded an improvement in injury frequency rate by 91.5% from its base year of 2003. But RIF rose by 8% from 2017 to 2018. There has also been some improvements in the Lost-time case frequency rate by 94.6% from its base year of 2003. From 2017 to 2018, LTCFR got reduced by around 6%. Company's progress regarding energy use There has been a decrease in the operational energy intensity by 33% from the base year whereas the absolute energy consumption got reduced by 11% during the same period.
