I have invested in "Vixy pro shares trust - proshares vix short-term futures ETF" and have received a return of over 100% (profit of over +$10,000).


all i need is for someone to tell me a reason as to why this future investment might be doing so well during this corona virus outbreak.

ProShares VIX Short-Term Futures ETF measures the returns of a portfolio of monthly VIX futures contracts with a weighted average of one month to expiration.it is observed that changes in the VIX Short-Term Futures Index have historically been negatively correlated to S&P 500 returns. meaning that the price movements in the index will be oppposite to that of the price movements in S&P index. therefore the profit from the VIX Short-Term Futures Index ,increases with increase in the volatility of  S&P 500 index. these could be two possible reasons why you are getting a 100% return .
