Supply chain management has great importance in streamlining operations, synergising resources, achieveing economies of scale, reducing turnaround time and optimisation of manpower in delivery and transportation .

Purchasing on other hand helps firms stay ahead of curve in order replenishing and maintaining high productivity. Purchasing contracts help organisations achieve long term cost savings and supplier integration with best relationships management  

Performance measurement of sellers as seen in Amazon is widely practiced where suppliers with highest quality, lowest cost and delivery time get featured at top of pages and have higher probability of sellibg goods. Thus performance driven frameworks ensure customers satisfaction, supplier fulfillment as well as competitive advantage for Amazon
