For a reaction to be spontaneous ∆S total should be positive. Now if ∆S system is negative so ∆S surrounding should be positive and it's value should be greater than ∆S system .

So ∆S total= ∆S system + ∆S surrounding

= -ve + ++ve =. +ve

Hence option c should be correct.
