Answer #1

Conservator are appointed by a judge on behalf of children under 18 years of age to take care of their "financial " status.A guardian has the responsibility to take care of minor's medical condition. In some states the concervator can take minor decision for the benefit of children. But the conservator has no rights to give consent for medical treatment on behalf of minor. When it comes to medical treatment The consent has to be given only by the parents and conservator cannot do this. It may be acceptable in case of life threatening emergency after a proper approval and discussion by the medical team and hospital policy.
