One becomes infected with this parasite due to when a person drinks
or eats contaminate foods with contaminated colonic irrigation
devices.
Once this parasite enters the mouth by consuming contaminated food.
it travels through the digestive system and settles in the large
intestine. These amoebas can invade the wall of the intestine cause
amoebic dysentery.
E. histolytica can be seen under the microscopic stool microscopic
examination.
