Sicko is a documentary film by Michael Moore, about the healthcare system prevailing in the US and compares the non-universal and for-profit US system with publicly funded health care systems of Canada, the UK, France, and Cuba.
The documentary presents the health care system in America as being broken and inefficient by using real incidents to illustrate the plight of the 50 million Americans with literally no health insurance and also to address the concerns about the kind of care that the insured people receive.
I think although it is a nice medium to show the shortcomings of the healthcare system in the United States, it rather presents a biased view by ignoring the difficulties faced by people in the other countries presented in the movie.
It only presents one sided view of the publicly funded healthcare system. It doesn't show interminable wait times, overcrowded ERs, poor standards of quality and difficulties in these publicly funded healthcare system.
Even after all these biases, the documentary does a wonderful job in bringing forward the issues faced by our healthcare system and lawmakers of this country should try and see what good things can be imbibed from healthcare systems prevailing across other countries.

The U.S. has great disparity between the poor and rich, especially when compared to other industrialized countries. What do you envision for the future? Is education the answer to greater income and wealth? Can people change their social class? Does our comfortable style of life depend on keeping some people poor? What would happen if the "dirty work" suddenly cost two or three times as much to get it done?

2. How have the concepts in the course helped you make sense of/understand the current situation in the US related to race/ethnicity? This question is asking you to tie the course to current events (again, race/ethnicity related).

Critical thinking gives you the power to make sense of something by deliberately choosing how to respond to events that you encounter. You take in information, examine and ask questions about it, look at new perspectives, and identify a plan. You use problem-solving and decision-making strategies. Demonstrate how you would use the nursing process when making a decision using critical thinking.
