Hello! We made benzocaine in lab through the process of fisher estrification.
Is this synthesis of benzocaine efficient and economical?
Also, what are other methods to make benzocaine?
Thanks!!!!
The synthesis of benzocain are economical because it not required much quntity of the salution so when quntity are low so the price are low.
There are no other method for the synthesis of benzocain in lab
Mostly worldwide use method is fisher esterification method

Provide a stepwise mechanism for the multi-step synthesis of Benzocaine. The overall reaction can be seen above. Please show every step- thanks! NH HN-C-CH; 1) KMnO4, MgSO4 HN-C-CH; (CH3CO)20 CH; 2) H2SO4 HO СН3 p-acetotoluidide COOH p-toluidine 1) HCI, 2) pH 7 H2O, A NH2 CH3CH,OH H2SO4 HOⓇO CH3CH2O o Benzocaine PABA We wish to oxidize the methyl group of p-toluidine but cannot do so without oxidizing the amino group (NH2). Consequently, the first step of our lab synthesis of...
What is protein synthesis? Protein synthesis is the process through which cells read DNA, and then edit it in order to produce a genome that is more fit for future generations. Protein synthesis is the process through which cells capture DNA and chemically "force" it to do their "bidding." Protein synthesis is the process through which cells read DNA and build the molecular components of new cells. Protein synthesis is the process through which cells decay, also known as necrosis.
Hello, I'm in Ap chem and have a lab due tonight. in the lab we had to determine the mole ratio between cucl2 and na2hpo4 which was 1:1. one of the questions asked whether it mattered if the molarities of the two solutions were the same. during the experiment, we made both the solutions with .5M, but could we still determine the ratio if they were different molarities? please provide an explanation because I'm so confused! thank you.
Hello , I am taking an introductory electrical engineering class These are lab follow up questions from a Transient Circuits lab. In this lab we learned about how an oscilloscope measures voltage waveforms. 1. Describe in words the difference between the way capacitors and inductors respond to transient changes in voltage ? 2. An oscilloscope can only make voltage measurements. If you need to see the current waveform through the circuit instead, describe how you could connect the oscilloscope to...
A methyl orange lab experiment was conducted where we made methyl orange through the typical diazotization. We then placed various fabrics( Polyester, Cotton, Silk, and Nylon) into the dye solution and then into a destained solution and recorded qualitative results. For example: Polyester had little to no color change. Silk turned very orange after reacting. Nylon also turned orange. Cotton changed to a light red/pink. IN DETAIL, please discuss the chemistry of the reaction of EACH FABRIC with DYE METHYL...
Interpretation of Buffer Preparation and pH measurement Hello! We did an experiment in lab creating buffers using 3 different methods, 1)weak acid + strong base, 2) wake base + strong acid, and 3)weak acid + weak base. The desired pH (and the number used to calculate concentration of components) was 7.5....Solution 1 had pH of 5.9, solution 2 had pH of 7.3 and solution 3 had pH of 7.1 I'm having trouble interpreting these results. Were these pH levels expected?...
Hello, we were provided two unknown samples and asked to determine if our samples were alcohols or not, using the 2,4-di-nitrophenyl hydrazine test. Then we tested our positive sample with Fehlings test to determine that we had a Ketone and other sample using Lucas Reagent to determine that we had a secondary alcohol. We were given these graphs for our unknown samples to determine the connectivity/molecular struture. Please kindly assist or let me know what other information would help with...
Hello all! We did a lab about column chromatography, objective was Separation of a Fluorene and Fluorenol mixture. Initially we had 0.20 g of the solid mixture (fluorene and fluorenol) I didn't manage to get a final mass reading so im not sure, please go ahead and make a guess for the following, see what makes sense: > Please go ahead and calculuate final mass of fluorene and fluorenone and the melting points of both
In our lab we synthesized guaifenesin using Williamson ether synthesis. What would be an example of another method of ether synthesis? Illustrate it with drawn reaction scheme and describe it in a few sentences.
Hello, How could we make the reaction of 2-chloro-2-methylpropane with NaI in acetone go faster? Be specific about what changes you would make the experimental procedure? Thanks in advance!
