Answer #1

Depression was characterized by a fall in demand and a fall in employment in the economy. The unemployment rate increased significantly during this period. Thus, government roles changed fundamentally during this phase of depression. The government announced many social programs to drive up aggregate demand in the economy. Thus programs were not permanents. These were announced to pull the economy out of poverty.

many intellectuals and writers got drawn towards the communist regime. They even started supporting the communist's presidential candidates. But gradually change in instances of existing government saved the US from potential take over by the communist ideology.

Present social program is widely distinct from social programs that were initiated by the then government. Present-day social programs are permanents and the government has relatively become more welfare-oriented. thus present programs are more comprehensive and continuous in nature.
