Manitoba’s heath care system is a board network of services and programs. It is publicly funded, which means that non one has to pay for necessary medical and hospital services . The actual service are delivered through local regional health authorities. , which are five agencies set up by the province to meet the needs of Manitobans.
What does it cover under RHA – It will cover Health coverage allows individual and individual dependent to see a doctor , get a prescription, visit hospital emergency room
Eligible – To be eligible for health coverage – must consider following points :
For new comer , need to present IRCC documents along with a completed Manitoba heath Registration Form.
Manitoba health Card – paper card that is issued as a registration certificate .
Health care option – any one can consult health care professional whenever needed. They have created One call centre number ( 24*7) for free. However in case of heart attack, major trauma, severe head injury , any one can call 911 ( Urgent care and Emergency)
Important and excellent part is – If any one do not have a family doctor , they can go to : Quick care Clinic” for immediate support .
Pharmacare – This process protects Manitoba from High drug cost . It provides assistance by paying part of individual prescription cost

In Canada – Doctors Bills – The Manitoba Government has made an arrangement with all other Canadian provinces and territories ( other than Quebec) to directly send bills for medical care to Manitoba health
Also Hospital Bills – similar arrangement relates to Hospital care also
In the United States – Doctor Bill – at the same rate Manitoba doctor would receive for similar service
Hospital Bill – up to 75% of insured hospital Service
Health care system in British Columbia – British Columbia ( B.C) medical service plan is a health insurance plan that pays for medically required services of physician and surgeon and for dental or oral surgery when medically required to be performed in a Hospital.
Resident of B.C are eligible and are required to enrol themselves and their dependent with MSP.
BC resident must pay premium ( fees) for MSP coverage . These premium based on Family size and Income
Important point to note – In case of Low income or any one facing temporary financial hardship , individual may be eligible for premium assistance to reduce or eliminate individual monthly MSP premiums for a certain period
Medical Service Only ( MSO) – MSO provide time limited health benefits , such as :
B.C pharmacare helps BC resident with the cost of eligible prescription drugs, certain medicine supplies, Pharmacy services . it provides assistance through several drug plans. The largest is the Income based Fair Pharmacare Plan .
For most pharmacare plans , individual must be actively enrolled in the Medical services plan ( MSP)
