Modifiable risk factors refers to the factors which can be altered or changed as per the necessity of an individual .Here activity level and environment are modifiable risk factors.

The recent research has shown that the rate of colon cancer is quite prevalent among young adults ,just because of lack of exercise. When a women does an activity the levels of estrogen are decreased and hence decreasing the prevalence of breast cancer,uterine cancer among them. This also has a good result in preventing lung cancer.

So in order to stay healthy and prevent cancer an activity level of 30 to 60 minutes daily is recommended

The environment exposure for cancer agents are high in the modern society because of industrialisation and modernization emitting toxic gases,fumes .Pollution is found in air,water ,land ,along with the food which we cultivate. These has an direct impact of increasing the risk of cancer overall in day to day life.Hence this has to be controlled by awareness and making the environment better for healthy life.
