Answer #1

Health care policies entered into public health to identify the specific problem and to treat the disease accordingly. Government has initiated many programs and intervention in the identifying of health problems and to treat at early. Many priority steps are taken like vaccination, screening campaign to eliminate certain diseases in the state or community and possibly to minimize the mortality and morbidity rate. The federal government protects the public by giving basic medical services, environmental services to the sick people but efforts not taken much to maintain the health of the general public. Preventive services are not fulfilled at public levels such as balanced nutrition, environmental sanitation, and occupational safety. The government fails to protect the healthy individual. Thus why the chronic diseases of obesity, cardiac disease and diabetes are increased at higher levels. The reason is the change in lifestyle pattern of the general population. So the Government has to focus more on preventive activities to break the chain of causation of major diseases. Initiating awareness on the public about healthy lifestyle, healthy eating removes the major burden of chronic illnesses.
