Answer #1

Given

Order: Humulin Regular U-100=14 units

Humalin NPH U-100=4 units

Route:SQ (Subcutaneous)

Frequency:once

●The patient will be administered 14 units of Humulin R and 4 units of Humalin NPH.A total of 18 units will be received by the patient

●The U 100 refers to 100units of insulin in 1ml

For Humalin R 14 units

As 100units=1ml

Then 14 units=??

Cross multiply and divide

=100÷14×1

=0.14ml

For Humalin NPH

The order is 4 units ,to convert in ml

=100÷4×1

=0.04ml

So the total ml=0.14ml+0.04ml

=0.18ml

The patient will receive 0.18ml
