Answer: The lack of accuracy in the numeracy in medicine causes major consequences as the wrong numercy can cause inappropriate result, wrong interpretation, medical errors, wrong dose calculation etc. This acts as a barrier in providing quality of care to the patients and sometimes make the treatment difficult.
This can be prevented by proper knowledge as well as regular practicing of the numeric calculations can make more improvement and can reduce the risk of errors. The cross checking of the calculation can also eliminate the medical error.
