Answer: The information that we receive from the wearable devices influences our behavior in many ways as due to advancement in the technology, some of the wearable devices track the activities performed such as the amount of calorie lost or the nutrients consumed etc. This influences behavior as by making people more conscious and concerned regarding their health and lifestyle. It motivates people to do more physical activities as well as exercise to burn calories. It increases awareness among people. The wearable device is a kind of self-monitoring tools which can track number of activities. They also provide data regarding the blood sugar levels which is generally good for the people suffering from the diabetes.
These changes improve overall health by making people more concerned regarding their weight and fitness. Obesity is one of the major cause of many other diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes etc. So, if people will be encouraged with the device and hence indulge themselves in the exercise and physical activities then this will reduce the risk of the other disease and keep them healthy and fit.
