Answer #1

(A) Cost of the order increases.
Justification: As the entity has to now take into consideration its additional salary expense of the new employee, it will increase the price of goods sold. Therefore, the cost of the order increases.

(B) Lower utilization as one attendant waits for the other to finish.
Justification: The second attendant can start packing the order only after the first attendant has taken the order. Therefore, the second attendant has to wait until the first one has completed his task.

(D) Communication issues can cause some orders to be wrong
Justification: As per the process, the customer first places his order with the first attendant; the first attendant then communicates the order to the second attendant to bag the goods. As the person receiving the order and the person bagging the order are not the same, there is a possibility of a communication gap. therefore, this communication gap can result in some of the orders being wrong

Wrong responses:
(C) Customer waits for the order longer
Justification: it is clearly visible that the maximum order time has reduced from 160 seconds to 110 seconds. Therefore the customer does not have to wait for longer time

(D) Space constraint for two attendants working in the same space
Justification: Normally, a drive through window is a big enough space for two people to comfortably fit in, without any issues.
Alternatively, if it is assumed that the drive through is small space, the same can be viewed as a potential problem.
