The US GDP in 1998 in terms of pounds was 14000 / 0.62 = 22580.65 billion pounds and the same figure increased to 25000/1.2 = 30000 pounds in 2006.

Hence, there is a percentage change of (30000 - 22580.65)/22580.65 = 32.86% in the US GDP in pounds.
