Answer: The nurse take care of the patients and plays various roles in healthcare setting. Nurse provide advocacy, counselling to the patients and their families. The nursing profession is life long learning process and hence nurses tends to learn from their experiences. The nurse faces various challenges such as:

• Workload
• Abuse
• Low salary
• Lack of appraisal

Due to lack of staff, nurse faces various issues such as over time working. This increases workload and hence causes problem to them. They suffer mental and physical illness. This also causes burnout among nurses. This reduces the quality of care provided to the patients.

This is also comes under the mental abuse where nurse becomes unable to perform their best and hence causes errors. The medication errors are the common in this case. The supervisor treat in improper ways and hence causes more mental pressure. Patients who are mentally ill causes physical violence sometimes. These are the various challenges that nurse faces.
