The overhead movement of the shoulder is possible by the interaction between four articulation of the shoulder complex, namely, acromioclavicular joint scapulothoracic joint, sternoclavicular joint and glenohumeral joint. These joints are involved in arm elevation. The scapulohemeral rhythm describes the motion of scapula and glenohumeral joint.
