In 1966, Northwestern Hospital, along with other health care facilities in the Minneapolis area, formed the nucleus of an organization that would significantly master care coordination and delivery in the ensuing decades. Ultimately, an EBM environment created a standard of patient care that enabled MMCI to advance care delivery and medical education and lay the foundations of a modern health care delivery system.

EBM stands for Evidence Based Medicine that is aimed at optimizing the decision making in health care by influencing it from evidences from well-designed and well-conducted research. The evidences based on science has the empirical support and classifies the evidences as per its quality and level of support it is able to provide to the services.

The US medical care has incorporated EMB in its service delivery and system and has tried to include it at all levels of care. The use of EBM in health care system in US as per my opinion is a great and beneficial step. As EBM method helps in continuous quality improvement and enhanced quality services. It helps in providing the high quality service provisions for the patients, and individualized care for all. It helps in bringing many new methods of care and treatment to clinical approach that proves to be adequate for the high quality services. Moreover, EBM will tend to provide surest and objective way to deliver good quality care, works on being cost effective and utiklizing the uttmost resources, helps speed up the recovery process and tranfers clinical research into practice.

Thus, it can be concluded that the EBM implementation in US health system will be a significant step in enhancing its quality and service provision, as well as it will rpovide a base for better and enhanced coverage for different evidences to be brought to clinical practice.
