#. Order of patients is given according to the priority of need and based upon the roles and responsibilities of the nurses based upon there license and experience .

Patients to be seen by RN :-

- EF is a 56 years old female 2 days post op from a radical mastectomy . Her husband is at the desk and requesting pain meds for his wife stating'she is never been in this much pain before '.

- KL is a 48 old female on call at 0730 for a right above knee amputation . She needs her pre op meds and you find that her surgical consent form is missing .

- AB is a 98year old male admitted with heart failure exacerbation 2days ago. In report he was listed as A/A/O× 4 but is now yelling out that he is in the bathroom and needs to go back to the bed .

2. The patients to be assigned to LPN according to sequence :-

- GH is a 32 year old female awaiting laparoscopic cholecystectomy who is receiving her cefazolin IVPB . She pushes the call light and asks for diphenhydramine .

- MN is a 71 year old male 1day post op from a colon resection . The surgeon is on the floor asking for assistance with a first time dressing change .

- IJ is a 62 year old male 2days post op a right hip replacement who was also newly diagnosed as a type two diabetic . He has orders for a discharge and is just waiting for the nurse to get him out of here .

3. Task to be delegated to UAP :-

- CD is a 22year old male admitted last night with DKA . He is now off his continuous insulin infusion and asking for breakfast .
