The minimum cash required by the bank in bank vaults is reflected in the reserve requirement. Generally the required reserves is the sum of the reserves held at the Central Bank and the cash held in the bank vault.

in this case the reserve requirement is 10% of checkable deposits liability which is therefore equal to 10% of of 1,000,000 = 100,000. Since $5,000 are already reserved with the federal reserve Bank, required cash should be $95,000
