Answer #1

DJd- degenerative joint disease, it is an inflammation of the joints and tissues surrounding the joints it is also known a osteoarthritis or degerative arthritis.

Pathophysiology...

Etiology (age, obesity, genetic, bone degormitdef, metabolic disease etc)

Which leads to inflammation of the joints due to certain actions by interleukin 1and other cytokinins.

Orthostatic hypotension....due to inflammation pressure gets exserted on surrounding tissues and blood vessels which reduces venous return which ultimately cause orthostatic hypotension..

GERD.... Due to surgery patient will reamain in one position for long period which can be a causative factor for GERD, due to reduced mobility.

Apnea.... It will also caused by static position.

Hypertension and memory loss are the symptoms of older age or because DJD is most common in older age people.

Hypertensive drugs (b-blockers) sometimes cause memory problems by interfering with the action of neurotransmitters norepinephrine and epinephrine, so they can also play a role in this.

Causes..sex ( women's are more likely to have this ...cause is not clear but due to many metabolic chamcha like menopause it hapoha more in them)

Age (older age ..due to bone deformities)

Obesity

Genetics (autoimmune diseases)

Metabolic disease (like hypo or hyperthyroidism).

Clinical manifestations.

Pain in joints severe pain more after rest or in the morning time after a long sleep... stiffness in joints..etc

Medical diagnosis can be done by seeing x-ray of bone, you can see tearing of cartilage in affected area...in x-ray...

TKR (total knee replacement) is a major surgery after the surgery a phisiotherapist have to train you in ROM exercises to improve the quote of life and for the improvement of surgery ..you have to be more conscious about your surgery post operative care is very essential and after that rehabilitation starts...thank you
