Answer #1

i) ordered dose=500 mg

available dose=250 mg

required amount of tablets for patient=?

If 1 tablet of amoxicillin is of 250 mg

then X no of tablet will be of 500 mg

therefore X * 250= 1 * 500

X=500 / 250 = 2

Therefore 2 tablets are required for one dose.

ii) patient has to take the tablets of amoxicillin for 10 days.

for one dose patient is taking two tablets of 250 mg.

Solution:

if 2  tablets are for 1 day

then X tablets for 10 days.

therefore 10 * 2 = 1 * X

X= 20

Therefore 20 pills should come in container.
